Healing a frightened workplace - during and post Covid 19

What a scary time we are living in right now and as the work force contemplates reopening there are many factors to consider that will put people at ease. We all know that this disease has caused us to not only be afraid of each other but also of whether the leadership at our work is reliable. People have had lots of time these last 2 months to re-evaluate priorities, integrity, values and one thing is for sure....safety is number one. This means safe, reliable and responsible people that care about people are our people and that those who are negligent and irresponsible cannot lead nor manage any longer. A caring responsible culture is everyone's right and anything less than being accountable cannot be tolerated because we have seen the devastation that this virus has had on people's lives and livelihoods. It is true....a new normal is brewing and it is health as wealth as well as meaningful connection. Healthy people mean healthy profits and fear based businesses and organizations are simply not sustainable. Time to end fear and heal it with lovingkindness and genuine care.
