Seeing Racism For What It Really Is

The recent events in the world are giving us a chance to see the destructive and self serving nature that is running rampant in the world and also in the workplace. Negaters of people use all manner of ammunition to gain their advantage and serve their personal agendas at the expense of the team. They do not do what is right but what they want and leaders have to be discerning about who they hire in order for the team to thrive and produce results that are beneficial to all involved including the bottom line. Without discernment, the workplace is a battle ground instead of a fruitful garden where ideas, positivity and collaboration flourish. Imagine a tree where the gardener does not remove the rotten apples from the tree and one sees that this is gross negligence by leadership that soon infects the entire tree. Intolerance of personal agendas is the only answer and that requires fully understanding who is hired, who is leading, who is managing. Responsibility and accountability requires the courage to weed the garden and ensure that everyone serves the agenda of growth, of co-operation, of inspiration, of appreciation in order to grow and produce results on all levels. Courage is saying no and standing only in integrity, honour and full respect for the all.
